I'm planning a trip to WDW next Feb, I already have a reservation for breakfast at AK but I did it for ap arty of four and now we are five. I called to change my reservation but there is no place for a party of five. What can I do?

There are basically two things you can try:

    1. Keep calling Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE). People change their plans and cancel reservations all the time. A larger table could become available for you if you are persistent. On one recent trip, my family of five wanted to dine together at Cinderella's Royal Table. We were able to get a reservation, but only if we were seated at two tables. Obviously this is not ideal. So, I called back daily for a few weeks and eventually was able to secure our family a reservation at a single table. You may have something similar happen with the increase in your party size.

    2. Just show up with five people and hope they are able to seat you. Just like people cancel reservations, they also sometimes show up with a different number of people than stated on the reservation. Some parties are smaller and some are a bit larger. Hopefully this all balances out.

If you want to "wing it", you do run a bit of a gamble here with a member of your party being disappointed, but my guess is that if you were polite to the host/hostess at the restaurant podium and explained your situation, they would try hard to work you in. If you want to go this route, I would arrive 15-30 minutes in advance of your reservation time to give the restaurant staff time to do some juggling.

    Good luck!
