Hi! I’m planning a trip staying at the Campsites at Fort Wilderness. What would be the absolute fastest way to get to Hollywood Studios before park opening? If we drive our car, are there any extra parking fees?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica! I am so happy you stopped by.

Jessica, I am a huge fan of arriving to the parks before opening time, and it is the only way to snag that coveted Boarding Pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

If you are looking for the absolute quickest way to the park, I would recommend that you drive your own car. The parking lot will open about two hours before the park does, however since you only have to be tapped into the turnstiles to join a Boarding Group, I would recommend that you plan to arrive around an hour before the park opens, so that you do not get caught in a long security line.

Parking for one car is complimentary with your campsite reservation at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Since you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, parking at each of the four theme parks will be complimentary as well! So there will be no additional charge to drive yourself.

While we are talking about your resort, have you heard about Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long? If you are looking for a fun and free evening activity, make sure you check it out! You can roast marshmallows and sing along to some favorite tunes with the wildest chipmunks in the west before settling in for a Disney classic movie.

I hope that this helped, Jessica! Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your vacation in the wilderness.

    Adventure is out there!
