Hey there John,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! It's always fun to get to answer questions from a fellow Arizonan.
I got to experience the
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party for the first time last year on a special trip with my son. We had an absolute blast! I loved getting to see all the different character experiences - my favorite was Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit - and my son's favorite part was...all of the candy!
As it sounds like you have maybe heard, tickets for this special event have sold out the past few years, so you are correct that you'll want to plan on logging on to purchase them on the day the ticket sales open. However, the Disneyland Resort does a fantastic job at communicating when the ticket sales window will open, so no need to check the event page every day!
Instead, I would recommend you keep tabs on the
Disney Parks Blog. This is the best place to find the official news of all the fun stuff happening at the Disneyland Resort. From what I've seen the past few years, they have posted some "
Halfway to Halloween" content around late April to early May, so hopefully that will continue this year! It's always fun to get a sneak peek at what will be coming during the
Halloween season.
However, when it comes to ticket sales for Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party, those have tended to go on sale later on in summer from what I've seen the past couple of years.
In the meantime, as I mentioned, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more information! Thanks again for your question, John! Have a fantastic time on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
