Hi Larissa!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question about rider switch! Having gone to both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World with small children in tow, I highly recommend the service!
Disney's Rider Switch Service allows adults with young children or persons who cannot be left unsupervised to enjoy the attractions throughout the parks. There are nine attractions at
Disneyland Park which offer Rider Switch, and ten attractions at
Disney's California Adventure Park that offer the service.
Rider Switch Service is set up so that one adult goes through the traditional queue, while the other adult waits outside the attraction. Once the first adult has ridden the attraction, the adults 'switch' places and the second adult gets onto the ride, typically bypassing the traditional queue. Unfortunately, due to the logistics of the queues, and the arrangement of the rider switch, both adults are unable to wait in line at the same time. You may speak to a Cast Member at the beginning of the attraction, as each queue is a different experience.
Larissa, I hope that this helps you plan a most enjoyable stay at the Happiest Place on Earth!
