I'm planning a trip to go back to WDW in May/June 2015. We usually stay at AOA. I love AOA but it will only be my son and I this time. For the dates I'm planning the Moderate resorts are much cheaper to stay. Which moderate is more geared for a 6yr old.

    Howdy Bridget!

Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another vacation planning question.  Like yourself, I LOVE Disney's Art of Animation Resort.   Colorful courtyards, larger than life characters and well appointed Guest rooms make it an amazing place to stay at Walt Disney World.    I do have a few favorite moderate level Resorts as well, as does my 5 year-old son.  I'm happy to recommend one for your upcoming stay.

If your son is anything like mine, some of his favorite things at Walt Disney World are pirates, and the amazing Resort pools.  For this reason Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort would be my top pick for you and your little one to enjoy.   The pool area is complete with two waterslide, water cannons and even a shipwreck water play area for Guests under 48 inches tall to enjoy.   For an extra special treat you can even reserve a  Pirate Room with ship shaped beds, and amazing details your little scallywag will enjoy discovering.    A sit-down Restaurant and a fantastic food-court that is one of my favorites can also be found at this tropical paradise.    My son really enjoys the fact that most items from the children's menu are served in a sand bucket that he can use to play with on the many beaches located throughout the Resort.

Bridget I'd love to answer any other questions you may have about your upcoming Walt Disney World adventure.   It's always a joy to help out fellow Disney-loving moms.

    Have a Magical Day,
