I'm planning a trip with my friend that would include a resort stay and park days. I plan on staying longer than her by a day or two. What is the best way to buy park tickets with the reservation if we have different amount of park days?

Hello there, Trishia! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and asking your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Though many people believe Walt Disney World Resort vacations are primarily for children, this is definitively not the case! An adults-only vacation is so much fun and gives you so much versatility when planning your visit. Personally, my husband and I love our grown-up vacations at Walt Disney World Resort because we can find a great balance between classic, family-friendly fun and upscale, signature experiences!

When planning your visit with your friend, you can take advantage of the number one planning tool available: My Disney Experience. When traveling with other adults, you can actually link your accounts through the Family & Friends list. This will allow you to view each other's plans as well as make modifications if you would like!

Once you have added each other to your Family & Friends list, you will be able to get into the next steps of the planning process such as purchasing tickets and making your theme park reservations! When purchasing your theme park tickets, I would recommend buying your tickets in different orders so both of you can specify exactly how many days you would like to visit. Afterward, you will then be able to link your theme park tickets to your individual My Disney Experience accounts. It is at this point that you will be able to make your theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system.

While making your theme park reservations, you will be prompted to choose which theme park you would like to visit for each individual date. This means you will be able to make reservations for both your and your friend on certain days while also making reservations for just yourself on others. This is incredibly convenient in circumstances such as the one you described when one member of the party plans on staying a bit longer and getting in a few more solo park days!

Best of luck as you continue to plan your getaway to Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to let us know if we can assist in any other way!
