I’m planning a trip for the first part of May and wanted to stay at a value resort. At this point they are booked for the dates I will be there (May 1-3). Are there usually last minute cancellations at these resorts? TIA!

Hiya, Sara! Thank you for stopping by with your question.

I'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble finding availability at one of Disney's Value Resort Hotels. I did just do a quick search for your dates, and I did see that Disney's Pop Century Resort does have several room options available for the dates you're hoping to visit. So yes! People do cancel, even up to the last minute. Keep checking!

The good thing about Walt Disney World is that there are a variety of options to choose from when you want to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. There are also often Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts available. While they don't always line up with what we need, when we need it, keep an eye out for a discount that may bring a moderate resort price closer to the value resort price. It may open up some other options for you.

My best advice with all things Disney when it comes to resort or even dining reservations is not to give up. People's plans change all the time, Sara, and you just may luck into a cancellation at the resort you want.

If we can help with anything else, just let us know, but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that your vacation goes off without a hitch!
