Hello Im planning on going on a trip to Disneyland in the fall. I know that selfie sticks are not allowed but I was wondering if this would be allowed since it is an extendable tripod of some sorts? PGYTECH Gimbal Camera Action Camera Extension Pole Trip

Hi Bob – I hope you’re having a great day so far.

Disneyland Resort is one of the most photographed places in the United States, and no wonder -- it is stunning! One of my favorite places for photos is the Mad Tea Party, especially at night when the colorful lanterns shine.

As you mentioned, Disneyland Resort does have specific policies about what is permitted inside the resort. You are correct that selfie sticks and extendable poles are not allowed in the resort for safety reasons. Guests, however, are allowed to bring tripods or monopods, but they must be able to fit inside of a backpack, and when extended, they cannot extend more than 6 inches or 182 centimeters.

Before I let you go, I wanted to share an extraordinary place to take pictures of others if you plan on taking photos of your family or friends. Outside of the Disneyland Hotel, there is a secluded gazebo that is gorgeous, and if there isn’t a wedding or event there, it is really lovely for group shots.

Have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth, and should you have any other questions for us, I hope you come back to planDisney.

    Best wishes,
    Lola
