Welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you’re well ahead with your planning, getting all your Donald Ducks in a row before your
Jolly Holiday to The Happiest Place On Earth this year. I’m glad to help!
The Disneyland Resort welcomes guests 365 days a year. So, if you’re dreaming of a Mickey-filled Christmas, this is the place to be! As a member of the
Magic Key program myself, I often use the block out days to gauge how busy the parks will be. A quick glance at the
Magic Key Calendar shows that all keys are blocked out from December 21 to January 3, and the most restrictive key, the Imagine Key, is blocked out for the entire month of December. This suggests that either of the weeks you mentioned might have smaller crowds than usual.
While I can’t guarantee crowd sizes, I can share a personal experience: last winter, I met up with my pal,
Panelist Elaine P., for Christmas Eve brunch at
Storyteller’s Cafe. Before our meetup, she had a smooth morning visiting several attractions in both parks. So, it's very possible that the parks might be less crowded during the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s.
I hope this points you in the right direction! If you have any questions about what to
do,
see,
eat, or
ride during your upcoming visit, feel free to
reach out again. I'm here to help you have the best time possible!
