I'm planning our trip for 11/21-11/25. Will all of the attractions, rides and dining be open by then? I don't want to cross the country and spend a fortune if much of the parks are going to be shut down. It won't be a memorable experience.

    Hey there, Damara!

I just recently returned from the Most Magical Place on Earth and I am happy to share my experience with you.

Damara, I found that the vast majority of attractions were opened for us to enjoy. In fact, just recently my absolute favorite show, Beauty & the Beast - Live on Stage returned to Disney's Hollywood Studios. My little ones will be thrilled that Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor made its debut as well.

You will also find that most dining experiences have returned, with the exception of some character dining meals. You should also know that character dining looks a little different than it did before. Instead of the characters coming to your table to sign autographs, they pose for physically distanced photographs. Honestly, I was skeptical about these changes, but I found that my kids enjoyed the fun character promenades through the restaurant and still got plenty of personalized interaction.

Damara, you will be thrilled to hear that you will be able to view several fireworks spectaculars during your upcoming trip. While I would love to tell you more about these shows, I can not because they will be BRAND NEW! I know that you will agree with me when I say that I can not wait to see what the Imagineers have in store.

In truth, unless you are waiting for character autographs to return, the experience at Walt Disney World Resort is much the same as it was before, with the exception of the face-covering requirement in indoor areas. If anything the experience may be more exciting with all of the fabulous 50th-anniversary celebrations. You can also always check the Experience Updates section of the Walt Disney World Resort website to see what the current status is for all of your favorite rides.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Damara!
