Hello, I’m planning to travel dec 23-27 with a 3yo and 1yo. I know it’s the busiest time of the year but what are ways we can still make it extra special for the holiday?

    Season's Greetings, Lauren!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for stopping by with your question! The holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort may be one of the busiest, but it is the most magical! I am also a mama with a toddler, and I am looking forward to bringing my kids during the holiday season in a few weeks!

Don't let the crowds ruin the magic of the holidays! While the theme parks may be overflowing with Guests, here are my Top 3 things you can do outside the parks:

    • Decorate your room: Pack a box of Christmas lights, tinsel, or a small tree in your suitcase to display in your hotel room! My sister and I brought lights and tinsel to decorate our rooms during a past holiday visit. Pack a special pair of holiday Pj's for your Mouseketeers to wear, too! The Disney Store website has several that are just the cutest!
    • Gingerbread displays: Visit the magical gingerbread displays at certain Disney Resorts! Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa features a life-size gingerbread house each year, and Disney's Contemporary Resort has a castle display! They also have sweet treats available for purchase that you could bring back to your resort room.
    • Christmas Tree Stroll: Visit Disney Springs in the late afternoon/early evening to check out the beautifully decorated trees! Then, stop by Disney's Days of Christmas store to pick up a holiday ornament to commemorate your visit. Santa will also be saying hello until Christmas Eve near Once Upon a Toy.

Lauren, I hope all of this information was helpful, and I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday visit to Walt Disney World. Thank you for stopping by planDisney!
