Hi, I'm planning on taking my 14 year old daughter on 14 day Panama canal cruise in Aug. Anyone gone with a teen 14-17? Does anyone think that 14 year old will be BORED?

    Ahoy Linda!
My daughter is also 14 and her favorite type of vacation is a Disney Cruise! She loves making new friends and experiencing all the youth programming has to offer the teens on the ship. Since your daughter is 14 she will have a choice on which group to participate in. Edge is for 11-14 year olds and Vibe is for 14-17 year olds. My advice is to visit both on the first day during Open House so she can check out the spaces and meet the counselors. Another tip is for her to visit whichever club she decides on attending the first night. This is important because she will be able to meet other cruisers her age through icebreaker type of activities. The youth programming is not the only aspect of cruising that my daughter loves. She enjoys the nightly karaoke, first-run movies, free ice cream and lounging and swimming in the pools just to name a few! Each night there will be fabulous entertainment in the Walt Disney Theatre that you and your daughter won't want to miss! You will find Broadway-style productions and variety acts that will appeal to Guests of all ages.
I really think your daughter will love all that a Disney Cruise will offer her and the freedom it will allow her to have because Disney Cruise Line's number one goal is always safety.
Thank you for stopping by the Moms Panel, Linda! If you think of anything else, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
