I'm planning on stayig in a value resort in Sept. 2011, however, I can't book the dates yet because my husband is switching jobs and we don't know about his vacation time yet. How long can I wait and feel safe that rooms will still be available?

    Hi Jessica!

I hope the job switching is turning out to be stress-free for your family! AND, I hope that you'll be able to think about your Disney vacation soon!

Personally, I wouldn't stress too much about your resort reservations. September is typically one of the least crowded times to visit Walt Disney World, and hopefully that will work to your advantage! I think that as long as you are flexible as to which of the value resorts you are thinking of staying at, you should be fine booking just a few months out.

One area that does fill up quickly, however, are restaurant reservations. Advance dining reservations for popular restaurants do book up quickly (some at 180 days in advance!). If you'd like to plan some special sit down meals, especially Character meals, you may also need to be flexible on your restaurant choices and dining times. Eating a late breakfast, or early dinner, are great times to find availability at popular places.

Hope this helps! Be sure to let the Moms Panel know if we can help with any more planning details!
