hello, im planning a very special 50th birthday celebration. 10 of us are coming, we are staying in animal kingdom villas. can you help me plan something special for dinner / fireworks inn Epcot on November 28. maybe a dinner or dessert party?

    Hello April!

Welcome to planDisney! Disney is the perfect place to celebrate a milestone birthday, and how fun that there will be a large group to mark the occasion! I do want to warn you, many things book up in advance, and with only 4 weeks until your date, some of the usual options may no longer be available. But not to worry, I have a few creative ideas for you too!

Several Enchanting Extras might be the perfect fit for your group. For a party of 10 or less, I love the idea of a private fireworks cruise. Specialty Cruises are back, and your group would be able to enjoy the fireworks show away from the crowds! You would need to call to check on current availability and to book. I know you specifically asked about Epcot, but in case things are booked, you could always inquire about availability at Magic Kingdom as well.

There are also two Dining Packages available at Epcot you may be interested in. Enjoy the fresh flavors of the Mediterranean at Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package, or savor British favorites with the Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package. Larger parties can be more difficult to seat, so you should try to book two smaller tables. Visit the podium earlier in the day to let them know you are a large party traveling together and there is a good chance they could seat you near each other. Available nights can vary and these both tend to book quickly, but if booked, I recommend checking back frequently in case a table becomes available.

If something more low-key was what you had in mind, we may need to think outside the box. Consider organizing a fireworks toast of your own. Have half of your group stake out a location to enjoy the show. Then the other half could purchase snacks and beverages to bring back to the group. A Grey Goose Citron Slush from the France Pavilion is a personal favorite, and the fancy glass makes everything feel like a celebration. You may also enjoy a good German beer paired with a pretzel, or perhaps a Welsh Dragon from the Rose & Crown Pub. Whatever you decide, rejoin the group to toast the birthday person in style!

Another option would be to enjoy a meal together before the fireworks and mark the special occasion with a Mickey Celebration Cake. Again, reservations for a party of 10 can be challenging, and not offered at many locations. Try booking two smaller tables instead, and don’t forget to check for a late lunch or early dinner for better availability. Visit the restaurant podium earlier in the day, or at check-in to request a Mickey Celebration Cake for your party.

April, if you want to coordinate something super special, you can reach out to Disney Meetings & Events. They can assist you one-on-one to plan a more extravagant and exclusive birthday celebration that can be created especially for your group and your needs. For the group that is looking for individualized service and luxury events, this is the way to go!

April, I hope one of these ideas will be the perfect way to celebrate that half-century milestone. Sending all my pixie dust for a very happy birthday!
