I’m planning on making a trip for late August/early July...I am 19 years old. Do I need a credit card in order to book a reservation at a WDW resort?

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question, Sarah! We have vacationed at Walt Disney World resort many times during the summertime months, and one thing you may be surprised to hEAR is that crowds are often lower this time of yEAR, making it a great time to go!

Planning your dream vacation has become so much more convenient with the advent of My Disney Experience, and you can now make all your resort reservations online. The good news is that you do not need a credit card to do this. If you have a bank issued debit card, you can easily link this to your account. Another popular option is to pay for your resort reservation using Disney Gift Cards. Log onto your My Disney Experience account and look under, My Plans, Reservations and Tickets, where you should see Remaining Balance within the Hotel Reservation section. Next to the Remaining Balance will be a link to make a payment. Paying by check or Money Order is a possibility, as well- you'll have to do this over the phone by calling Guest Services at (407) 939-5277. Before making your reservation, be sure to check the Special Offers page to view all the resort discounts at Walt Disney World for this summer.

Speaking of summer, Epcot's IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is making its farewell performance shortly after your trip. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more information on this and other exciting happenings in the second half of 2019!
