I'm planning to go to WDW March 2016, I want to book soon so that I can book some Disney dining reservations. If I book my trip now and then a special discount comes out for that week, am I able to apply it to my reservation? or once booked that's it?

Hi, Sandra! You don't have to have Resort reservations to make your Advance Dining Reservations. However, there is a perk if you do have a stay in a Walt Disney World Resort booked. Once onsite Guests reach 180 days before their arrival date, they can make all their Advance Dining Reservations for the first ten days of their vacation. This is a perk for onsite Guests.  Those not staying on property must make their reservations day-by-day as each 180-day mark rolls around.  They do not have the advantage of booking their entire (unless you're staying longer than 10 days) vacation at once.

So, I would encourage you to go ahead and make your reservations. You will also be more likely get the dates and accommodations you want.  Then, when (or if) promotions are released, you can modify your reservation to include the package components and deal, subject to availability.  Disney will not automatically modify your reservation, you will need to call 407-W-DISNEY to check availability and make the change, if possible. There will not be a fee to update the same reservation with the promotion.  If it's a free dining promotion, you will be reimbursed for the dining plan if you have already paid for it, or you can add it at no charge at that time. Keep an eye on the Special Offers page for one that might work for you, your travel dates, and your accommodations.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
