I’m planning a girls trip. I’m a Florida resident and AP Holder can I purchase discounted tickets for my sister who lives in North Carolina?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Susan! I think it’s so fun that you’re planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort with your sister! Girls' trips are the best!

When it comes to Special Offers for Florida Residents, such as discounted theme park tickets, Proof of Florida Residency is always required for any guest over the age of 18. This means that your sister would not be able to use a discounted Florida Resident ticket to enter the theme parks, even if you purchase it for her.

But Susan, I do have some good news, there’s no reason why you wouldn’t be able to share a Disney Resort hotel room with her. You could always book the room and use your Florida Resident status to take advantage of Special Offers during the dates for your stay. It would be such a nice treat!

As you’re putting together the details of your magical girls’ trip, don’t forget that you can start making your dining reservations 180 days before your planned visit.

Be Our Guest Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom Park would be so much fun, especially with their brand new three course dinner menu! Yak & Yeti Restaurant at Animal Kingdom Park is one of my favorite places to eat. It’s hard to stop eating their Ahi Tuna Nachos! I could almost have them as my main course!

I hope this information has been helpful to you. Don’t hesitate to stop by again with any other questions you might have about your next visit! It’s our pleasure to help you with all the details!
