Hi Emilie! Welcome back to planDisney! We are thrilled that you found the information available so helpful and are back for more answers.
Visiting
Disneyland and
Disney California Adventure for the first time is such an exciting experience. With so many attractions and entertainment available, advance planning is a great way to ensure you see it all! A guide map is a great tool to help with that process. I did some research and found updated
Disneyland and
California Adventure map PDFs to assist with your itinerary. The only major park update since these maps were published is the addition of
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Additionally, you can download and use the
Disneyland App to ensure you have the most up-to-date information on what is available in the parks!
As this will be your first visit to the Disneyland Resort, I have a few Q-Tips on Disneyland and California Adventure attractions and entertainment you will not want to miss. In Disneyland, I highly recommend visiting Fantasyland and experiencing the unique dark rides that are only available stateside at this park. For example,
Snow White's Enchanted Wish is a charming ride through the story of the first Disney Princess. In 2021, it was enhanced with new projections, effects, and new ending. It is a delightful ride that will make the entire family more Happy than Grumpy. Another favorite of mine is
Alice in Wonderland. I am particularly fond of the unique view of Fantasyland as the ride provides as you move from one level to another!
In Disney California Adventure,
Avengers Campus and Cars Land are two lands which are must-see! In Avengers Campus, be sure to explore the area as it is full of your favorite Marvel heroes out on patrol. You never know who you'll run into. As for Cars Land, you can't go wrong hopping on any of the three attractions in land. As my wife is fond of saying, you never see anyone without a smile on their face while on
Radiator Springs Racers,
Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, or
Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters.
Whatever you decide to experience, Emilie, there will be fun and joy for everyone in your group. Enjoy your first visit and, should you need any additional assistance, be sure to come back to planDisney.
Happy planning!
David
