I'm planning for our first family trip to Disneyland for my daughter's 5th birthday. A friend suggested that my daughter should do the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo experience. After this, what's the nearest premium character dining place to have a birthday meal?

    Hi there Pinky,

Planning your first trip to The Happiest Place on Earth is the best! I’m beyond thrilled for you all.

Your friend is absolutely right, a royal transformation at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is going to be magical for your daughter. My daughter felt so special getting a transformation at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique during her birthday weekend while on vacation.

After your daughter has had her princess makeover you have a couple Premium Character Dining choices to choose from. They are considered Premium because they offer Character Dining for longer periods each day, and you have more meal choices.

Goofy's Kitchen - Disneyland Hotel (buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner).
Ariel's Disney Princess Celebration - Ariel's Grotto, Disney's California Adventure Park (breakfast or lunch)

If you have a Disneyland Resort Park Hopper Ticket then I would choose Ariel's Disney Princess Celebration over at Disney's California Adventure Park. If not, Hakuna Matata, simply head down Downtown Disney District and over to the Disneyland Hotel, you’ll go bonkers over all the Disney Characters at Goofy’s Kitchen. Both restaurants are highly popular so I suggest making reservations by calling Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463 up to 60 days prior to your visit.

You can also sprinkle some more pixie dust on the big day by ordering a personalized birthday cake if you're dining at select table service restaurants. You can call the Disney cake number at (714) 781-3463 to discuss your options. They will need at least 72 hours notice prior to your magical date.

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please visit us here and let us know how we can help you plan your pixie-dusted visit.

    Wishing you magic!
