I'm planning a family 15 vac Dec 2016. I was looking at the DVC gold annual passes for me and my wife and there are blackout dates. Can you tell me what the blackout dates are. Special events ?

    Hi Dave,

One of our favorite ways to stretch our vacation dollars is by taking advantage of the special pricing for Disney Vacation Club Members on Walt Disney World Annual Passes. Not only can we save a bundle, but then we also don't need much convincing when considering a last-minute visit "Home."

The Disney Gold Pass is a new offering exclusively for Florida Residents and Disney Vacation Club Members. While it does provide considerable savings, it does have the following blackout dates: March 19, 2016 - April 4, 2016 and December 19, 2016- January 2, 2017.

Did you know that as a Disney Gold Pass Holder you have access to download all of your PhotoPass Photos? That is a fantastic benefit that has saved us a bundle already in 2016! You are also eligible for discounts on Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Reservations, select dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences.

Separately ticketed events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are not included in your Annual Pass, but special events such as Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival or Epcot International Food and Wine Festival are.

I hope that helps, Dave. Come back and see us with any other questions.

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
