I'm planning on doing the Disney marathon in January of 2018 but I have two young children! At that time they'll be 2 and 4. Do I incorporate them into the race celebrations or have them do something else? How do I book a vacation around the race?

    Hi Andrea!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How fun for you as a Momma to have two little chEARleaders traveling with you!

You have a couple different options for your kiddos during the race. If you are traveling on your own, there is a third party service called Kid's Nite Out that can watch your kids in your hotel room for you while you run. If you are traveling with a family member or friend that will watch them for you, they can either start a day in the parks or come cheer on Mommy! For the Walt Disney World Marathon, you'll actually run through all 4 parks and some little ones love making signs to encourage their parents along the course. If the family or friend watching them signs up for runner tracking they'll get updates on where you are and if they familiarize themselves with the course they should have some pretty good idea where to catch a glimpse of you. They can then squeeze in some park time and some time taking part in the race celebration with you!

The 2018 vacation packages will not be released online until this summer, but you can still call runDisney and book your room only resort reservation to make sure you are getting the best rate as early as possible. When they release the packages, you can then call and have them change your reservation to include dining and park tickets. To book travel through runDisney you can call 407-939-iRun and they can help with everything you need!

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I hope you have a great race!
