Hi Keri! That is such a great question! I understand how that schedule can be confusing for Guests. I’m happy to explain how you’ll get to see the fan-favorite
Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the brand-new
Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT!
The times that you see posted on the Walt Disney World Resort calendar are correct. Sometimes, a nighttime show is scheduled to begin after the park “closes” or right at closing time. When looking at Disney Parks schedules, it’s important to know that “closing time” doesn’t necessarily mean that all Guests must begin exiting the parks at those exact times. For example, if you are in line for an attraction at closing time, you can remain in line to experience the attraction even after the park closes. Once you complete that attraction, then you will need to begin making your way out of the park. You wouldn’t be able to get in line for another attraction. So, while the park has stopped allowing new Guests to enter and attractions begin to close lines, there are still many Guests in the parks as they begin the process of closing down for the night.
As long as you are in line to enter the amphitheater for Fantasmic! or are already seated in the amphitheater, you will be able to enjoy the show even after the park has closed for the evening. The same is true at EPCOT. Luminous The Symphony of Us will begin and Guests can remain in the park to enjoy the show. You will then begin to exit the park once the show concludes.
I hope this information is helpful as you continue with your itinerary! It sounds like you’re going to have a great visit! Keep asking all the right questions! Also, be sure to occasionally check the Disney Parks calendar as entertainment, such as fireworks, are subject to change.
Happy Planning!
