I’m planning on going to Disney world in California if I go on 10/31 and 11/1 will I catch both themes, Halloween and Christmas?

Merry Halloween, Martin! Welcome to planDisney. I have a Halloween Day check-in at Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm also wishing for some double decor! Let's discuss what you can expect on your upcoming Disneyland Resort visit. Like Jack Skellington, maybe we can have a leg in both celebrations.

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are currently decked out for howling Halloween fun. This devilishly delightful decor will stay up until the parks close on Halloween night. Since you're checking in that day, I hope you can hop to both parks to take in all the scary sights.

The official kickoff date for the Holidays at Disneyland Resort is November 10, so that's when most parade and entertainment options will probably begin. Attraction overlays won't be guaranteed until around that date, but I have some good news. You can typically start seeing festive touches a day or two after the creepy decor comes down.

Keep your eyes open for tinsel and trees on November 1 because they might start appearing before your eyes. For example, on November 1 last year, a few Halloween displays were still around, but there was plenty of Christmas merchandise to be found. Sleeping Beauty Castle had started its wintry transformation, and bows and greenery were adorning some storefronts and attractions.

Although you might not see the full splendor of the holidays on your visit, I hope you will get a sparkling sampling.

Martin, I'm sending cobwebs and snowflakes so you'll have a peek at two worlds on your upcoming trip. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
