Im am planning our 1st Disney vacation for my son's 4th birthday (October 2012). How far in advance can I book and is it best to book through the Disney website or by phone?

    Sandra,

While I prefer to use a Disney authorized vacation planner (in particular, a no-fee agency), of your two choices I prefer to book by phone. While the website does a great job, occasionally there are added discounts or packages that the phone operators might help you locate that you might otherwise not know about when booking on the website. An example from a past vacation was when the operator asked if I had a Chase Disney Visa card (which I did). The added discount saved me $500 on what was a short 4-night visit. Certainly worth the extra few minutes!

    Have a magical vacation!
