Welcome to our lake where the seaweed is always greener, Sarah! To paraphrase Ariel's pal Sebastian, life is the bubbles at planDisney. Your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit will be here before you can swim upstream, so let's look at what options your little merfolk will have at
Sebastian's Bistro.
I spoke to a Cast Member who knows how to jam, and he said the menu is the same for adults and children. It's served family style, so you can sample a bit of everything, but the only special offerings are the plant-based and gluten-free options.
Some of my friends have enjoyed meals at Sebastian's Bistro at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, but they were all adults. They told me they thought it would be fun for adventurous kids who like to try new foods, and they felt the pull-apart bread and the roast chicken would reel in the pickiest guppies. But many dishes
on the menu are inspired by the islands with curry and other spices that might not appeal to younger palates.
I suggest reading some online reviews for this restaurant and discussing it with your kids. The good news is that this is one of the more reasonably priced prix fixe meals at Walt Disney World Resort, so it's easier to feel like you've gotten your money's worth.
My family recently tried
Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney's Hollywood Studios. My son is much older, but we all thoroughly enjoyed this family-style restaurant's plant-based barbecue and sausages. And the Toy Story theme is so fun that your kids might forget they're eating their veggies!
Sarah, I'm sending pixie dust and dinner rolls so your upcoming visit will be devoted to floating! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
