    I'm planning our day at Animal Kingdom. The posted park hours are 9am-8:30pm. The "Rivers of Light" show is an evening show in the dark - How does that work with the posted park hours?

    Hello Alfred, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Rivers of Light: We Are One is a beautiful glowing show that takes place after dark.  Because of this, showtimes are adjusted throughout the year so it will be dark enough for the performance.  I just checked the park hours calendar for your trip in June, and I noticed in early June Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is scheduled to be open from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm, with one performance of Rivers of Light: We Are One at 9:00 pm. With sunset in Orlando occurring around 8:20 pm or so that time of year, it should be the perfect setting for the show.

    Alfred, although park hours are released approximately 180 days in advance, I would consider those to be "preliminary" hours.  Often operating hours are tweaked a bit in the weeks leading up to a particular date.  During the summer months, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is often open until at least 9:00 or 10:00 pm.  I know last June it was open late enough on many evenings to have multiple performances of Rivers of Light.  I would not be surprised at all to see park hours extended and the performance schedule updated prior to your arrival in June.
