Welcome aboard, Susan! I'm really excited to hear that you're planning a getaway on the Disney Wonder! Did you hear about all of the fabulous
enhancements coming to the Disney Wonder? This fall, the Wonder will be in dry dock to add some new venues, shows, and experiences! My family and I are most excited about the new Tiana's Place restaurant, themed after Tiana's own New Orleans style food. My son cannot wait to try out the new Marvel Superhero Academy in the Oceaneer Club, and my daughter is itching to sing along with the new Broadway-style musical onboard, Frozen: A Musical Spectacular!
My family and I always try to choose a Midship
stateroom on a mid-level deck. Deck Seven is perfect, as it's only a couple decks down from the pools and deck parties on Deck Nine, and only a couple decks above the Youth Club fun on Deck Five. Since there isn't anything but staterooms on the mid-level decks like 6, 7, and 8, you'll find quiet halls with less guests walking by. The Midship elevators will easily take you to any other decks you'll need for dining and other activities, but having just a couple of flights of stairs up or down for our favorites on the pool deck and Youth Club deck is a bonus for us.
The Wonder is a big ship, but small enough that it's only a quick walk from Midship to Aft or Midship to Forward. So, try to book a stateroom Midship and on a mid-level deck and you'll be very happy with the views from your verandah, the quiet halls, and the easy access to your favorite spots onboard! Now, that being said, we've stayed on many different decks, and Forward and Aft, and have had great experiences in all of those areas, so you really can't go wrong, Susan.
I hope those details help as you plan your cruise on the Disney Wonder! Happy sailing!
