Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas is in the early phases of a comprehensive refurbishment which will result in an even more magical Resort. While we do know that some projects have started, there hasn't been any information released about when the project is estimated to be completed. I do know that things are moving quickly. For example, the new
BoardWalk Deli opened recently, we just learned that the brand-new
Carousel Coffee will be opening soon, and
The Cake Bake Shop is slated to open in 2023. Other enhancements, including updates to Guest Rooms, are also slated and could take more time.
Typically, Guests are updated if any
specific offerings or amenities are unavailable, such as a pool being closed - we don't typically hear about refurbishments to rooms. So, while it's completely possible that the work at BoardWalk will be complete or nearly complete by the time of your trip, we won't really know the timeline in advance.
Fleur, if you were hoping to have a more up-to-date Guest Room or simply want to avoid any construction, you might consider moving your reservation over to Disney's
Yacht or
Beach Club Resorts. They are conveniently located just across Crescent Lake from BoardWalk and have both recently been updated!
