Hi, I'm planning way ahead for a Dec. 2016 vacation. We will be getting off a cruise on Dec.31 and will then be checking in to a disney resort. Do we have any chances of getting into the magic kingdom for nye if we get there in the afternoon? Thanks

Hi, Nicole! It's never too soon to start planning in my opinion! You will certainly have a better chance of getting into Magic Kingdom than someone who is not a Resort Guest, but there are no guarantees, of course. Historically, Magic Kingdom is closed at capacity by mid-morning. As Guests leave the Theme Park, new Guests are allowed inside using a "tiered" system. Disney Resort Hotel Guests (that will be you!) have top priority, followed by Annual Passholders, then re-entries (Guests who were in the Magic Kingdom earlier in the day), then Park Hoppers coming from other Disney Theme Parks, then, finally, non-Resort, first-time entries. Be sure to utilize Disney transportation from your Resort because the parking lots are as difficult to get into as the Theme Park on New Year's Eve. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
