I'm planing a trip to disney during Christmas time with my 3 year old twins? I know Disney is a busy vacation but I don't want to overload them by trying to do too much. Should I get the park hopper tickets? We are going for five days.

Hi, Denise!  I recommend park hopper options for a variety of reasons, and I have to say that when during Christmas you are going is a huge thing in whether I would say get them or not.

If you will be down there from Christmas eve on, I wouldn't invest in the park hoppers.  In some instances, the parks can close due to capacity, and if you leave one park, there isn't any guarantee you'll be able to gain admittance to another.  Also, the lines tend to be longer, so you may want to just stick it out at one park to do as much as you can i that park.  Hopping eats away some of the time you'll want to spend at the theme park.

I would say if you are going before Christmas eve (I usually plan my holiday trip to arrive right around the 19th or 20th), you may want to get the hoppers.  We like to hit a park early in the morning, do as much as we can before it gets too busy, then head back for some pool time or lunch.  Then in the evening, we might head to a different park for an evening activity.  At Christmas time, we might go to Disney's Hollywood Studios for the Osbourne Spectacle of the Dancing Lights, or we might go to EPCOT for the holidays around the world events and a nice dinner.

The biggest caution is the travel time.  It can eat up the better part of an hour to go between parks when things are busy, so keep that in mind when making your decision.

    Have a great vacation!
