I'm a photographer and a friend has asked me if I could photograph his surprise proposal! Would i need a permit to do this? I've tried to ask a few castembers and I'm getting conflicting information thank you!

Hello, Ambar! I appreciate you coming to the planDisney Panel for help with your question.

Photographers are welcome at the Disneyland Resort as long as the photos are for personal use and not for commercial or professional purposes. Before arriving, you want to ensure that you are following all rules and regulations Disneyland Resort has, including not bringing any prohibited equipment with you.

If you plan to take a photo of the happy couple in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, I recommend taking a photo from the side rather than directly in front of the draw bridge. If you look to the right of the front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, you will see a little path, which is a perfect location to strike a pose. You will get a photo with far fewer people in the background.

And before I let you go, if after taking photos of your friends, they want a bit of alone time, remember that you can enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth too and even enjoy shorter wait times if you go for the single rider line for certain attractions.

    Best wishes,
    Lola
