If I'm a pass holder but my family is not (husband + 2 kids), can I bring them with me on ride previews before official opening day

Hello Laura, and welcome to planDisney! Oh, boy... you sound like a Disney Mom after my own heart. I confess I get to sneak away to the Most Magical Place on Earth more often than my entire family does, and I've often considered purchasing an Annual Pass. I'll bet you are the one who brings the pixie-dust alive in your family!

When Disney World offers some dates for Annual Passholders to experience a preview of a new, or newly reimagined ride or experience the details of how they roll this out can vary slightly. Most typically, you sign up for a preview date and will utilize joining a virtual queue inside the My Disney Experience app. My fellow panelist LeAndra explains some helpful information regarding how these special, early-access events work. Unfortunately, this is for Annual Passholders only. So you would not be able to bring your +3 family members along with you on the attraction, on a preview day.

Here's my Disney-loving-mom to Disney-loving-mom advice, Laura. If you have the opportunity to ride alone... do it! You're passing on a legacy of loving the whimsy and magic of Disney World to your Mouseketeers. And I can tell you put love, time, and attention into planning the practically perfect trip for your family. Don't feel guilty. Enjoy every moment!! Consider it "research"... then you can experience the attraction with your family next time around.

Alternatively, you could consider adjusting your dates until official opening day arrives. These previews are often held around a week before the attraction opens to the public. Since you are traveling from Canada, which is an impressive journey, perhaps you'll opt for pushing your vacation dates back just a bit so the whole family can ride together.

There's no wrong answers here... so please enjoy every magical moment of your next Disney vacation! Feel free to send me a message at planDisney if I can assist you with any additional questions. I'd love to help!

    Adventure is out there!
