    Hi There! I'm participating in my very first disney princess 5k in February. I already booked a room at the port Orleans the night before and had planned on taking the shuttle. Will it get me there on time or do I need to drive myself?

    Hi Ashley!

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's great to hEAR you are signed up for the Disney Princess 5K! 

    When you stay at any of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels during a runDisney event all race weekend transportation is provided. When you check in at Disney's Port Orleans Resort, please check with the Cast Member at the front desk and they should be able let you know where the race transportation is picking up from.

    I always recommend runners take the provided transportation over driving themselves when possible. Traffic can back up on race mornings, since some of the roads are blocked off, and in the past the runDisney buses have had their own designated lanes, so you don't run the risk of missing the race! RunDisney asks for the 5K runners to please board the buses by 5 AM to ensure they make their coral on time.
