Michael from MA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I'm not sure of the exact dates of my trip due to flights. Can I make a reservation room only for a longer stay, and then easily drop one or two days from the reservation without risking my reservation?

Welcome to planDisney, Michael! Where we love helping Guests like you experience the most magical Disney vacation possible.  How exciting for you to be in the early stages of your vacation planning adventure, and it would be my pleasure to help you with an answer.

When booking a resort-only stay at a Disney Resort hotel, those reservations can be canceled or modified up to five days before your check-in date without penalty. You can cancel or modify your reservation only if you have a Cancel or Modify Reservation link next to your reservation on My Disney Experience. You can book the days you plan to stay in a Disney Resort hotel and then modify your stay based on your flights. If you need further assistance modifying your existing room-only reservation, please call (407) 939-1936 to speak with a friendly Cast Member.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation in The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop back by planDisney if we can help answer any more of your questions during your vacation planning process.
