Hi I'm not a mom but me, my husband, and my niece 4 and nephew 7 have never been to Disney world and we wanted to go visit for the week of Dec. 16-20, 2013. Where do you suggest we go as of theme parks? Also what should expect with the weather?

Hi Alexis! You don't have to be a mom to ask us questions here at the Moms Panel, and in fact, we're not even all moms -- the Panel includes dads, grandparents, and aunts! After all, Walt Disney World is for everyone!

December is a fun time to visit Disney World. The parks are beautifully decorated for the holidays, and with the exception of the week around Christmas, the crowds are generally fairly low to moderate in December too. Temperatures in December aren't too hot, so it can be a comfortable time to visit the parks. Highs usually average in the low 70s, with lows in the 50s. Since the temperatures can vary in December, I recommend you plan to dress in layers that you can peel off or put on as needed.

Plan to devote at least one day to each of the four parks. You'll avoid waiting in long lines if you arrive at the parks before the scheduled opening time and hit the most popular attractions first. I recommend you visit the parks in this order:

    Dec. 16 Animal Kingdom
    Dec. 17 Magic Kingdom
    Dec. 18 Epcot
    Dec. 19 Hollywood Studios
    Dec. 20 Magic Kingdom

Come visit me again here at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! I'd love to help you plan your first visit to Disney World!
