Welcome aboard planDisney! A 5-night sailing aboard the Disney Destiny is going to be an incredible adventure, and I completely agree that finding the perfect night for Palo Steakhouse is some smart cruise planning. After all, choosing between Palo Steakhouse and rotational dining can sometimes feel as challenging as deciding which Infinity Stone is the most powerful!
Since onboard entertainment schedules are always subject to change, you'll want to hop into the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you're connected to the ship's Wi-Fi at the cruise terminal. That will provide the most up-to-date schedule for your specific sailing.
Currently, your itinerary is scheduled to have an optional “dress-up” night on Day 2 (at sea) and
Pirate Night on Day 3 (Cozumel). If you've sailed with Disney before, you may remember Pirate Night featuring a special pirate-themed dinner menu. However, the Destiny has been charting a slightly different course on these 5-night sailings. Instead of a pirate menu, Guests currently enjoy the regular menu from their assigned rotational dining restaurant that evening.
That also means your dining rotation continues moving forward rather than repeating on consecutive nights. One example of a dining rotation currently looks like this:
• Night 1 - 1923
• Night 2 - Worlds of Marvel
• Night 3 -
Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King• Night 4 - 1923
• Night 5 - Worlds of Marvel
That's just one example of the three possible rotations, but they all follow the same general pattern. If your cruise begins in Worlds of Marvel, Pride Lands would typically follow the next evening. If you begin in Pride Lands, then
1923 would generally be next in the rotation. While the restaurants repeat, the menus do not, so you'll experience a different menu during your second visit.
That unique setup can make choosing a
Palo Steakhouse night a little trickier because there isn't an obvious night to skip. My recommendation would be to think about which restaurant experience you would be most comfortable missing and work backward from there.
If you already know you would not mind missing a particular restaurant, you can
call Disney Cruise Line and request a specific dining rotation. For example, if you have a Palo Steakhouse reservation on Night 2 and don't mind missing Worlds of Marvel, you could request the dining rotation that places
Worlds of Marvel on Night 2. Requests are never guaranteed, but the dining team does a fantastic job trying to accommodate them whenever possible.
