I'm going by myself for a week in December! I'm staying at Art but made a breakfast reservation at Grand Floridian to see the lobby for Christmas. How do I get from Art to GF? I've only ever traveled from my resort to the park

    Merriest greetings to you, Larrissa!

It’s such a delight when you stop by planDisney with your question.

I see you’ll be coming to The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the yEAR, Larrissa! Did you know you can find holiday magic at every Theme Park? From holly jolly Castle projections at Magic Kingdom Park, delectable holiday treats at EPCOT, to Flotillas with Mickey and friends decked in their Christmas best at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and The Hollywood Holiday Tower Hotel’s jolly transformation at Disney's Hollywood Studios, there’s something for everyone to celebrate!

Larrissa, I am elated to hEAR you will be dining at the Grand Floridian Cafe! It is my absolute favorite place to dine for breakfast in all of the Walt Disney World Resort property and that’s saying a lot! My favorite dishes (and I get multiple) are the Traditional Eggs Benedict, French Toast (these are a must, although not always on the menu, they usually make them if you ask), along with the most delicious Frozen Cappuccino with the Hazelnut flavoring. I also like to grab a Cappuccino because it comes with the cutest Mickey-shaped cinnamon drizzle on the foam that I simply can’t resist!

As usual, I’m getting way ahead of myself thanks to my love for Disney food. Let’s talk about how you can be whisked away on your very own magic carpet ride to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! To do this, you will take the Bus Transportation from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to Magic Kingdom Park. Once you’re there, you can take the Resort Monorail directly to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or you can take the Walt Disney World Water Transportation, which I love to do! I love feeling the wind blow through my hair as we embark on our adventure to the stunning white Victorian building with the red roof shingles shining brightly ahead.

Also, be on the lookout for the upcoming pathway that will allow you to walk to and from Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! At the moment, it is still under construction but will add a scenic route once completed!

Oh, Larrissa! I cannot tell you how magnificent the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa already is, but come holiday time, it’s transformed into the most enchanting lobby I’ve ever seen. The enormous Christmas tree is decorated to its full glory and I get goosebumps just thinking about it!

I hope you have the merriest vacation, Larrissa!
