I’m the mother to twin 1 year olds and one three year old and I’m planning a trip to Disneyland/California Adventure. I’m wondering how me and my three kids will be able to ride the rides together. What is the child/children on lap policy at both parks?

    Heigh-Ho, Lindsey!

Welcome to planDisney! I love your question about your upcoming visit with your favorite little Mouseketeers! I regularly visit Disneyland Resort with my tumbly Tigger toddler, and this spring we'll have another little Roo to add to our adventures, so this question is super fun for me. My husband and I have taken our little one (who's 2.5 years old) to The Happiest Place On Earth many times since he was an infant, and your question brings back so many wonderful memories.

Our little Mouseketeer absolutely loves the King Arthur Carrousel at Disneyland Park, where all three of your tots can ride individual horses side by side. At this park, we also enjoy "it's a small world," Pirates of the Caribbean, and Storybook Land Canal Boats. All of these rides let us enjoy the experience together in one row together, and I imagine 3 toddlers and one parent would fit nicely. Not to mention you could occupy your own cage on Casey Jr. Circus Train!

And over at Disney California Adventure Park, The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure is a winner with our little merman. It conveniently seats all three of us in one clam-mobile. At this park, his favorite rides are Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, just to name a few.

And Lindsey, all of these rides have given us some fantastic moments together, whether he's on our lap or right beside us. In my experience, attractions classified as "All Ages" and "Any Height" will allow you to lap sit or wear your baby in an infant carrier. Here's a handy list of all the rides and attractions at the resort with no height requirement.

Before I let you go, I hope you get to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers at both parks. They are a perfect place to feed your little ones, change their diapers, and take a breather from your busy day. The Disneyland Park Baby Care Center is next to First Aid at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and the Disney California Adventure Park location is next to the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. You can check out planDisney's Instagram reel for a sneak peek at the royal treatment that awaits at these locations!

Overall, you and your little ones will have plenty of options to ride together as a family in both of the parks. I hope I've helped you with your dream visit to The Happiest Place On Earth, Lindsey! Just like Ursula from "The Little Mermaid" says, "That's what I do! It's what I live for!" so if you have any more questions before your visit, just swim on back to ask me again now that you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
