Hi Lisa,
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question! I'm so excited for you and your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! You are speaking my language––Barcelona and Palo!
I'm sorry you weren't able to snag that coveted reservation for
Palo Champagne Brunch. It is one of the harder adult-exclusive dining reservations to make, but I have some recommendations for you that might help. First, keep checking the Disney Cruise Line website to see if any spaces open up prior to your departure. Then, once you board the ship in Barcelona, check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for the location of dining requests. Often, your requests for Palo are made at the restaurant with a member of the Dining Team. You can ask to be placed on a waiting list if there is one available. If you are lucky, you will receive a notification that a space has opened up!
Lisa, while it isn't quite Palo brunch, remember that you can enjoy delicious breakfast in the rotational dining room that is serving breakfast during your cruise. You can even order a glass of bubbly! Create your own magical brunch! I even find that stopping by one of the lounges or bars, such as
Cove Café, and picking up a specialty cocktail or beverage, and then heading to
Cabanas for a made-to-order omelet or some Mickey Waffles makes for a delightful meal. I like to find an outside table to enjoy the view and the sea breeze. Give it a shot, even if Palo brunch works out for you!
I hope you have time to enjoy one of my favorite cities. Spending time in Sagrada Familia is at the top of my list every visit.
Barcelona is a perfect place to start your vacation!
Let us know if you have other questions, Lisa; we are happy to help.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
