Well i'm making my first trip to WDW in Aug 5th -11th with my 10 year old daughter, my question is that i made dinner reservation at chef mickey for dinner the day we arrive, just making sure that we receive are tickets to the park when we check in?

Hi, Leah! Thanks for visiting us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World in August! Dinner at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort is a great way to start your vacation!

When you check in at your Resort hotel, you and your daughter will each receive a Key to the World (KTTW) card which acts as your room key and may also contain your theme park tickets and dining plan (if you have purchased these options in your vacation package). If you have not purchased a Disney Dining Plan and will be paying out of pocket, you won't need your KTTW Card for dinner at Chef Mickey's .

If you're planning to visit the Magic Kingdom theme park between check-in at your resort and dinner at Chef Mickey's, you'll just need to take the Resort Monorail one stop from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary Resort. You can also walk from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary using the walking path - it will take you about 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Leah! Please write back with any other questions as you plan your trip.
