Hiya Terri, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your question. First of all, I'm glad to see that you were able to take advantage of the latest round of
Magic Key Pass sales! With sales being paused less than a week later, it's good that you were able to get your Pass when you could. Congrats and welcome to being a Magic Key Holder!
In general, the name on a Magic Key cannot be edited after it has been purchased. According to the
Magic Key Terms and Conditions, Magic Keys are nonrefundable and nontransferable. However, since this was a possible mistake, I would encourage you to call the
Magic Key Holders phone line and speak directly to a Cast Member to see if they are able to assist you. Even if the name doesn't match, as long as you are the Guest who activates the Magic Key, you'll still be able to use it to unlock a year of magic. Your photo will be taken the first time you use it and that will be used to verify that the same Guest uses that Pass throughout its lifetime. Therefore, it isn't crucial for the name to match the user of a Magic Key. It's the picture that will be checked every time.
Are you looking forward to using that Key to unlock all the perks and
discounts that are available? Be sure to follow the
Magic Key Instagram account because that's where I often find out about the latest offerings. And check the Magic Key Portal in the
Disneyland Mobile App before each visit. You never know what you'll find! You are also now able to make reservations at the
Magic Key Terrace, which I think is one of the coolest perks and a hidden gem.
Terri, thanks again for submitting your question. I hope you enjoy that Key as much as I have mine. Please feel free to come by with another question anytime. You're always welcome at planDisney!
Wising You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
