    I'm looking at staying at Port Orleans french quarter or riverside and want to know info about fishing. What are the check in and check out times.

    Debbie,

    That is a great question! And no, I am not just 'fishing' for a compliment!

    So there are two fishing options; a guided fishing excursion or dockside fishing from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside dock.  Please note that all fishing at Walt Disney World is catch-and-release only. But I have been out on their waterways on the pontoon boats, and what a great way to experience Walt Disney World like few get to do!

    The guided excursions can be for a party up to 5 on a pontoon boat, or a 2 person party on a bass fishing boat. There are 2- and 4-hour excursions available. The package provides you with the boat, the guide, rod & reel, tackle, bait, and drinks (no alcohol allowed on these boating trips).

    If you want to stick to dockside fishing, you can also rent gear at the Fishin' Hole located on Ol' Man Island at the center of the resort.

    To reserve a fishing experience you need to call 407-WDW-BASS (407-939-2277). They can help you book the right fishing experience for your vacation. While times could change seasonally during the year, here are the basics;

    Guided Fishing Excursions: leaving at 6:30 AM or 9:00 AM. There are also some afternoon slots available, but that can vary.
    Dockside Fishing Gear rental: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

    Have fun fishing!
