    I'm looking into our second cruise, Alaska in 2014. Do you think a Veranda room is worth it? Would it be too cold to sit out there while our boys are napping? I don't want to miss any views on this once in a lifetime cruise.

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  An Alaskan sailing is definitely a trip of a lifetime so I say go for the verandah! Being able to take in the spectacular scenery at all times especially while your boys are napping will be well-worth the added expense of a room with a view! Since you will pack cold weather gear for this particular cruise, you will be prepared if it is cool outside which I don't think will stop you from wanting to take advantage of all the stunning sights!
