Hi Shelby! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so excited to hEAR that you and your family are thinking about spending some vacation time at
Walt Disney World Resort! As a planDisney panelist, it's obvious that most of my vacation time is spent at The Most Magical Place on Earth - and for good reason! With four Theme Parks, two Water Parks, over 25 incredibly themed
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, and the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of
Disney Springs, we never run out of things to do! Even after dozens of visits, each trip allows us to experience something new.
Since I'm a Guest just like you I would love to help you navigate the Walt Disney World Resort website to gain some insight on the cost of a Walt Disney World vacation for you and your family. I like to start by heading to the site and clicking on the "Places to Stay" tab at the top. Choosing a Disney Resort is one of my favorite parts of planning. While I've yet to stay in many I'm really working toward trying out every.single.one. at some point! Resorts are categorized into three main tiers: Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. While they may offer different themes, dining options, and recreational offerings, each one will put you as close to the Disney magic as you can possibly be AND include awesome benefits like
Early Theme Park Entry. You're welcome to learn more about each Resort by checking out the
Disney Resort Hotels Pocket Guides in the "Panel Extras" section of the planDisney website.
Once you've chosen your Resort, enter your vacation dates and the number of people in your party in the blue bar near the top of the screen. With a party your size you'll most likely be searching for two Guests rooms (which will need to be booked as two separate reservations) or a 3-bedroom villa in order to keep everyone in your party comfortable. Scroll down to see potential room offerings and approximately how much they cost each night.
On the next page, you'll be able to add
Theme Park Tickets. Here you'll need to choose how many days your family plans on spending in the Parks and whether you would like to visit one Theme Park per day with a Standard Theme Park Ticket or multiple Parks per day by adding on the
Park Hopper Option. You even have options to add on admission to Water Parks and other fun!
While I know this sounds like a lot, I think you'll find it is a very straightforward process once you begin. Please feel free to stop by planDisney again with any other planning questions that arise!
