I’m looking at the 2019 port adventure in San Juan Puerto Rico that involves Caving and Body Rafting. I can not tell if what the Disney site calls “climbing into the cave” means we will be rapelling or climbing in by foot. Does anyone know?

    Welcome aboard, Debra!

Oh, San Juan, Puerto Rico! What a beautiful city with so much rich culture and history to explore. I'm excited for you to experience not only this amazing port, but all of the other ports you'll visit on your upcoming sailing with Disney! The most memorable part of my family's last visit to this city was checking out the Castillo San Cristobal and the town surrounding it. No matter which adventure you choose in San Juan, I'll hope you'll have time for a walk around town too!

The Caving and Body Rafting Port Adventure in San Juan looks like a really unique and exciting way to spend the day. While I haven't experienced this one myself, I do have it on my "must-do" list for next time! Imagine floating along down the river through canyons and the jungle and getting to explore a cave. My adventurous kids are all in for this experience for sure! I checked in with my friends at Disney Cruise Line to verify if the "climb into the cave" involved rappelling and found out that it does not. Guests will be hiking down a path into the caves. So, I hope that clarification in information helps as you continue to make your Port Adventure decisions for this upcoming trip, Debra!

Have so much fun planning, and please feel free to stop back with any other questions you might have before you head out to sea. We're happy to help!
