Hi! Im looking at planning a cruise in 2017! Are there rooms that are kid themed? I know i'll need 2 rooms or upgrade to a suite. It'll be 2 adults and 4 kiddos (ages in 2017: 9,9,9,2 if we go after July). Thanks, The Chaotic Mommy

    Ahoy, Kristen!

How exciting to be in the early planning stages for a Disney Cruise Line vacation for your family! All of the rooms on the Disney Cruise Line ships are nautical-themed, emerging you in the cruising experience.

Due to the number of people in your family, you will probably want to book two connecting staterooms. On both the Fantasy and Dream, there are no rooms that will accommodate more than five people, including the suites.

When booking two rooms, one adult will need to be in each room, with two children. Once you are onboard, Disney Cruise Line doesn't really care who sleeps in which room, and as long as you have connecting rooms, it is more like one large room anyway. Some staterooms to consider are 5520 and 5522 on either the Disney Fantasy or Disney Dream. These rooms have two large portholes and are very large. The downside is that they don't have the bed in the ceiling.

The older children traveling with you will be the perfect age to enjoy the multitude of activities in the Oceaneer Lab and Oceaneer Club. And, talk about kid-themed! These areas were designed with kids in mind and are FANTASTIC!

I know you will have many more questions as you are planning, so please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
