I'm looking for a nice place to eat in downtown disney for my husbands birthday. There are 9 of us including 4 adults and 5 children ranging in ages from 4 to 13. It will be also be our first day in disney so we wanted to eat on the earlier side. Thanks.

Hi, Jeannine!  There are so many options in Downtown Disney, and you can choose from a variety of cuisines and experiences.

If you're looking for something really fun, Splitsville is a bowling alley with an incredible menu.  You can get sushi, pizzas, sandwiches, and enjoy a whole evening of fun with the family when you put on your bowling shoes.  Another option is the Fork and Screen at the AMC movie theater.  Pick a movie the family will love, and relax in big, comfortable chairs while the waitstaff takes your order and brings you a delicious meal.

There is live music and Irish inspired cuisine at Raglan Road, which is one of my family's favorites.  It's fun, great for families, and the kind of place you can linger and have another drink while you watch the stepdancers.  Paradiso 37 also has live music and a festive atmosphere, and their Central American Crazy Corn may be my favorite appetizer anywhere.

A brand new, upscale dining experience can be had at The Boathouse.  Steaks and seafood are on the menu, and while i haven't been myself yet, I am hearing absolutely amazing reviews.  Even though the feel is upscale, resort wear is more than acceptable.

With young children, you might enjoy a meal at the Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex.  With jungle animals in one and dinosaurs in the other, you are right in the middle of the action as the creatures come to life.

If you're looking for a certain atmosphere or experience, let me know, and I can offer you some more customized suggestions!

    Have a wonderful trip!
