I'm looking at the meal plan option for my stay and am wondering whether I can use a snack credit to buy a bag of candy at a store in the parks or at my resort? The descriptor "single-serve bag of snacks" is a bit vague. Can you help?

Hey there, Patrice, and welcome back to planDisney!

I'm glad to hear you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, complete with a Disney Dining Plan. Since, like Winnie the Pooh, I'm constantly concerned with a treat, I'm happy to give you the inside scoop on how to use those snack credits.

Your snack credits can be used on many goodies, such as 2 scoops of hand-scooped ice cream, Mickey ice cream bars, and even single-serve bags of snacks. Those bags of candy you can find in the gift shops at Disney Resorts Collection hotels and stores around the parks definitely qualify as single-serve snack bags. I know because I've used a few snack credits to rack up on goodies myself!

Patrice, good luck with all your dining endeavors at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any other questions about the Disney Dining Plan or Advanced Dining Reservations, come back to see me. I've got all sorts of ideas on how to manage the rumbly in your tumbly.

    Happy planning!
