Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    I'm looking into character dining options for my 2 DS ages 7 and almost 6? Thinking of Akershus- are there other characters besides the princess'? Will they be the only boys? Any other suggestion? They like all the characters (Is Mulan anywhere?!)

    Hi Melissa! My family loves character meals. It's so much more relaxing to have the characters come visit you while you dine rather than standing in line to meet them in the parks.

    The princesses are the only characters at Akershus. If your boys like the princesses, don't hesitate to take them there. Although you'll definitely see lots of young girls dressed as princesses dining there, plenty of boys and adults will be eating at Akershus too, and the princesses will fawn over them just as much as the little girls. Although the appearance of a particular character is never guaranteed, Mulan does sometimes appear at Akershus. If you aren't able to catch her there, check the Times Guide when you enter the park or ask a castmember to call the Character Hotline and find out where you can meet Mulan that day.  She often appears in the China pavilion at Epcot.

    Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom is a character meal that's popular with the boys. If your boys would prefer to see Mickey and friends, consider breakfast or dinner at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort or breakfast at the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club Resort.

    'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort hosts a Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch that's also popular with boys who love Stitch's antics. At 'Ohana the American breakfast is served family-style at your table, which is a nice change from the usual character buffet.
