Hi Moms, I'm looking at booking a Disney Cruise from Cape Canaveral to Bahamas with my daughter who will be one week short of her 1st birthday - would she meet age requirements for this cruise or does she need to have turned one? Thanks,

Welcome aboard, Lisa! Isn't it so exciting to browse the Disney Cruise Line website, play around with different itinerary options and daydream about booking a magical sailing at sea with Mickey?

Disney Cruise Line's minimum sailing age is six months old, so your daughter will certainly be able to set sail with you. What a wonderful way to celebrate her very first birthday! I should mention that if you wanted to sail one one of Disney's Transatlantic or Panama Canal sailings, the minimum age is one year old, however, I have a feeling you're just hoping to enjoy a shorter sailing from Port Canaveral. I took my daughter on her first cruise when she was just two, and since then, our family has enjoyed so many magical memories with Disney Cruise Line! Disney is wonderful for parents with little ones, as they really cater to everyone, including young families like yours, so your daughter will have plenty to see and enjoy.

If you want to sneak off to enjoy some of the Adult Exclusive activities aboard the ship, your little princess can have fun with the fabulous Youth Counselors in It's A Small World Nursery, where they have activities, Character visits, nap time and fun for the three and under set. Plus, there are plenty of activities for the whole family. She may show off her skills in Jack Jack's Incredible Diaper Dash where little sailors crawl their way to the finish line in the atrium while parents cheer! It's adorable to watch. Plus, in the mornings, there are Wake Up with Disney Junior activities. Think of waking up onboard and heading off to dance and sing with lots of little babies and toddlers and their parents along with Mickey and the crew. Such magic!

Have fun planning, and please stop back with any other questions, Lisa! We're happy to help!
